PORTLAND, OR - All Opal Kelly products are now fully RoHS-compliant, including their popular XEM3001 and XEM3010 FPGA modules as well as all add-on modules and accessories sold through their online store.

Since late 2005, Opal Kelly has been working to convert all existing products to the new RoHS guidelines and to assure that all new products are designed to be RoHS-compliant from inception. Working with their PCB manufacturing partners, assembly vendors, and component vendors, this process is now complete.

Opal Kelly is committed to comply with the lead-free and RoHS initiatives. From an environmental point of view, they feel that the additional guidlines are well worth the added cost of implementation. And, because a significant portion of their products are shipped to Europe and other regions with RoHS requirements, the move makes sense from a business point of view, as well.
